Remember the Vinyl

Growing up around thousands, literally thousand of vinyl records, made me appreciate DJing for what it was. As a kid I remember my father DJing around the house on his turntables and me handing him his vinyl records one at a time; while usually getting yelled at for scraping my fingers across the vinyl because I absolutely loved the sound if it. Fast forward 20 years and we rarely even see vinyl records anymore. Most Dj's these days use electronic turntables with downloaded songs. Not to say its a disrespect to the game but to say times have changed, you either don't like it or just deal with it. I thought that would be a good segue into this article I read (maybe not?). Its about a Designer named Pavel Sidorenko, who makes these wonderful clocks out of old traditional vinyl records. These clocks are not just any old piece of work, they're made using lasers technology for the most precise cuts. If you're into art and music like I am, you will appreciate what this man can create from a Vinyl record. Check out some of his amazing work below. (Full article HERE)

The Verizon iPhone ...

So...it finally has come, the day another carrier beholds the most popular phone in the world. Verizon has announced that they will begin carrying the iPhone 4 early to mid February. This is great news for the Verizon's customers who have been patiently waiting to use their upgrade specifically for the latest iPhone. Butttt might come as bad news because they cant use the upgrade to get the phone free, but can use it as credit towards it; $199 is not that expensive anyway. There are always pros and cons to everything and the biggest con about Verizon's version of the phone is that it will run on a 3G CDMA network, which means it wont have the newer LTE 4g compatibility, "which means" that you wont be able to talk on your phone and surf the web at the same time. Now if you don't do that anyway, then it's not a problem, but if you're like me..its a problem. Pros, Verizon has much better plans then AT&T, they offer a $30 unlimited data plan in which you get to use your iPhone 4 as a wireless hot spot to up to 5 devices, WITHOUT having to purchase a $45 tethering plan which ISN'T unlimited (<---AT&T ). One thing Verizon has not done is to announce the actual prices for the minutes and messaging plans, I don't expect them to change it up to much but we will have to wait and see. I am an iPhone 4 owner so I have to tell you if you're on Verizon GET AN iPHONE 4. There is really nothing like it, I'm sure a lot of EVO, Torch, DroidX users would beg to differ, but that's because they don't have an iPhone ;)

A voice of Gold

Last week I came across a video of a man with the most amazing voice. A voice for radio most people would say, the only difference is that this man was on the corner of a busy intersection, why? because this man was homeless. Shortly after the video went viral, a buzz like no other had been created, a buzz so big that everyone one from NBA teams to Fortune 500 businesses wanted this man as the "voice" for their company. At first I thought to myself what a wonderful story, but I then saw this same man on The Today's Show and that's when this story went from a "good story" to one of the most inspirational stories I have ever witnessed. I want to sit here and tell you all the parts that i was touched by, but i'd rather you watch the video(s)/interview for yourself and develop your own emotions towards it. If you want, you can leave a comment in the comment box and I'll be sure to reply I am interested in what you think about it . For now check out these three videos. I'm sure these videos will impact you in someway....TUNE IN!!
